Making sustainability accessible, scalable, and profitable for the food industry.
How It All Started
Seven years ago, in a small boarding school, we found an abandoned kitchen and café space—unused, forgotten. Instead of letting it go to waste, we turned it into something more.
We built a student-led restaurant, sourcing ingredients, designing menus, and running the kitchen ourselves. It was chaotic, exciting, and eye-opening. We quickly saw the challenges of food waste, inefficiency, and sustainability, even at a small scale.
That kitchen became more than just a place to cook—it sparked an idea that would later become FoodWeb.
The Journey
After school, Arnav pursued AI and data science, while Yagao trained as a chef in Michelin-starred kitchens. We saw the same problems everywhere—waste, inefficiency, and a lack of sustainable solutions.
So, we built FoodWeb to change that—making sustainability practical, accessible, and profitable for the food industry.
What We Believe
Sustainability shouldn’t be a challenge—it should be the standard.
We believe the food industry can be efficient, profitable, and sustainable at the same time. It’s not just about reducing waste in the kitchen; it’s about better sourcing, smarter inventory, fair labor practices, and ensuring that every part of the food system—from farm to plate—works in harmony.
With the right tools and mindset, every restaurant can make a difference. FoodWeb is here to make that possible.
Meet the Team
FoodWeb is a new startup driven by a bold mission—to make sustainability accessible in the food industry. For now, the team consists of its two co-founders, but this is just the beginning. As we grow, so will our team, our impact, and our movement.
